File Manager 3 supports FireBird!
FM3 v3.42 Beta Released.

Background
During the last few months, File Manager 3 has undergone some major surgery. Huge parts of the code have been re-written, and a general cleanup has been performed. This has both cleared up some "hard-to-find" bugs, as well as provide a much more stable and easily maintainable code base. The documentation has also undergone a revamp, and while remains a work in progress, is now more comprehensive and easily navigated than before. These changes were released as version 3.40 Beta.

And Now?
This revamp has also enabled us to add support for new databases faster. While there is still more to come in the "FM3 Revamp", we have decided to release FireBird support now. This is the first public release of FireBird support, shipped as version 3.42 Beta.

Price Increase!
As many of you are aware, the cost of FM3 in Beta remains lower than that of FM2. The increased functionality and versatility of FM3 makes this an absolute bargain. Unfortunately though, we are needing to bring the price of FM3 up to standard. We know that you will find FM3 an invaluable addition to your tool box. It will save you hours of time, and cover it's cost in no time!

We are giving you 2 weeks notice, so the new price will be effective from Wednesday 8 September.

The new price will be $249, so don't miss out on the current price of $189.
Existing FM2 users can still cross-grade for $149, that will be increasing to $199.

Into the future...
File Manager 3 is aiming for Gold! We are hoping to smooth up any existing bugs in the currently supported databases, as well as add some more features before going Gold. The FM3 Revamp Project is still to complete new example applications, jump start examples, and a utilities overhaul. We expect this will take a few months to complete, and we will keep you up to date with the progress thereof.
