One Child At a Time Educational Trust
One Child At a Time provides school fee subsidies to
underprivileged children attending
the Ambleside School of Hout Bay. (disclosure: Geoff sits on the board of the school as
does Vanessa (Bruce's wife) - both in a voluntary capacity). Hout Bay is a sea-side community in Cape
Town with a very diverse population group - where poverty and wealth sit
side by side. In order to promote education as a way out of poverty
the trust was formed to assist people who would not normally have the
opportunity to attend a private school.
Currently 20% of the school body are funded in part by the efforts of the
trust. The goal is to increase this to 25% in the near term.
SA Childrens Home
SA Childrens Home
is the oldest welfare institution in South Africa and has been providing
a home for orphaned children for over 200 years. With a current family of
44 children, and 8 caregivers, the needs are endless.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a
multi-faceted welfare service aimed at helping the elderly of our country
to live out their sunset years in dignity and relative comfort.
Institute for the Blind
We strongly recommend the
Executive Trend Management Diary from Kind Hearted created to support
the Institute for the Blind. Not just a hand-out but a practical way of
making a contribution and getting something of value in return.
St Lukes Hospice
It is difficult to truly express the appreciation one feels after
St Lukes have
entered your life, usually when a loved one is passing on. Their
contribution to our society simply cannot be measured. Many of the
CapeSoft family have been profoundly affected by their compassion and
assistance and they deserve all the assistance you can give.
CTEET - Cape Town Environmental Education Trust
As much as we are into technology, we appreciate the importance of the environment in
educating tomorrows adults and leaders. CapeSoft have a long association with CTEET
(formally ZEEP) and we encourage you to support them and their work.
